: The Department of Computer Science at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center offers a Postdoc Researcher position, specifically under the collaboration agreement BSC-INTEL.
Multicore architectures are a common element in today computer systems, from mobile to HPC systems. Understanding the potential parallelism, the potential benefits on a certain system and its inhibitors is key to productively program multicores. Going one step further, programming future Exascale systems is unanimously recognized as a topic that needs to be considered in research, and tools to understand the different programming choices are a relevant piece in that research. The objective of this position is to design and implement performance prediction tools for the StarSs family of programming models as part of the BSC software ecosystem, composed of Tareador, Paraver and Dimemas, which should allow both the interactive (user-assisted) and automatic exploration of the rich parallel decomposition design space that StarSs offers to the programmer.
