: Context and Mission:

Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is one of the founding members of ETP4HPC, the European Technology Platform for High-Performance Computing (HPC). BSC also hosts one of the virtual offices of ETP4HPC and participates in the operation and management of ETP4HPC.

To meet the growth of the organisation and the increase in its activities, ETP4HPC intends to increase the manpower of its virtual office. The objective of ETP4HPC is to support the development of the European HPC Technology Value Chain (i.e. the provision of HPC technology in Europe). The organisation provides recommendation for the European research programme in the area and it is also a member of the contractual Public-Private Partnership together with the European Commission with an objective to support the growth of the entire European HPC eco-system.

BSC intends to propose the services of the ETP4HPC Office Support Specialist to ETP4HPC. The position will report to the office manager and work closely with the specialists of the ETP4HPC Office, located in various European countries. If the profile proposed by BSC is selected by ETP4HPC, the ETP4HPC Office Support Specialist will be based in BSC and will have a direct reporting line within BSC. The entire hiring process is managed by BSC with a view to present a selected candidate to ETP4HPC.

Key Duties

Act as the first point of contact for the organisation (internally and externally)

Organise meetings , workshops and other events, issue meeting invitations, etc.

Manage communication with Members and other organisations

Manage the ETP4HPC website and other communication resources

Support the operation of ETP4HPC and its activities, e.g. support the publication and dissemination of ETP4HPC documents, preparation of events, etc.

Manage the administration tasks of the projects ETP4HPC is involved in

Manage membership issues (new members, membership fees, communication with members, etc.)
