: Context and Mission:
The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Applications in Science and Engineering (CASE) department. The candidate will do the porting of high performance applications to a new cluster architecture, expected to provide the foundations for sustainable exaflop performance. Hence, the project will make use of the most advanced hardware and software techniques and strategies.
Key Duties
Applications porting to architectures.
Optimization at a cluster, storage and accelerator levels .
Requirements
Education
BS Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering.
Knowledge
Good english communication skill, both written and verbal.
Professional Experience
Linux, C, C++ and pthreads programming skills are mandatory.
OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, and Xeon Phi programming will be highly appreciated.
Competences
Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary environment.
Conditions
The position will be located at BSC within the CASE department in collaboration with the specific program coordinator. The contract will be for two years approximately.
