: Role Description
The Research Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the involvement of the Center in the related EC-funded project, and will lead business analysis tasks in the research infrastructure project. The Research Infrastructure Project Manager will also advise the BSC in the decision making process for driving the evolution of the Research Infrastructure for which the involvement in activities for gaining knowledge to take better informed decisions will be needed. The BSC participates in other strategic projects usually related with European Infrastructures, where the candidate will be also involved for support or leadership. This position will report to the direction of the center for key matters and to the Project Management group leader for the rest of topics.
Key Duties
Centralise information on BSC?s participation in projects and in the Research Infrastructure and be able to quickly provide this information when requested.
Coordinate the participation of BSC personnel involved in the project ensuring that the centre?s contractual obligations are fulfilled, that all deadlines are met, that tasks are carried out with the appropriate diligence and that resources are used in accordance with the project plan. This will include compilation of information and preparation of financial and effort reporting. This will involve intensive communication with researchers and managers from BSC and other participating institutions.
Lead the organizational work package of the support project(s). This work package usually includes tasks on legal support for the infrastructure, governance definition, impact assessment, business process optimization, excellence models, and funding models.
Write and review project deliverables and represent the work package in project reviews.
Contribute to the drafting of proposals for new projects, and represent BSC in the budget negotiation and distribution of work therein.
