Postdoc RenewIT Project

: The candidate will be incorporated at full time to the "Autonomic Systems and eBusiness Platforms" research line from BSC. Candidate's main task will be oriented toward the development and support for the assigned tasks to the research group in the RenewIT project funded by the European Commission in its 7 th Frame Program. The contract will be temporary.
Conditions:
We are searching for a candidate with following profile:
PhD degree on computer science (or related topic).
Familiarity with Cloud computing.
Experience in Java and Web Services programming.
Previous experience on research projects.
Knowledge of the English language to participate in discussions about technical topics.
Willingness to travel.
The following skills will also be evaluated:
Knowledge of software design patterns and web application frameworks.
Basic knowledge in virtualization and resource management in distributed systems.
Basic knowledge in Linux servers administration.
Familiarity with power-efficient computing (aka. Green computing).
