Senior Engineer Repsol

: Computer Applications in Sciences and Engineering department is offering two Senior Engineer position within the BSC-Repsol Research Center project, to ddevelop parallel geophysical applications in modeling, imaging and inverse problems.
Main Responsabilities
The candidates will be responsible of the design of a complete set of geophysical applications that will work on a common framework. The design will include auto testing mechanisms, complete documentation procedures and GUI development.

Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines pressure
Ability to work independently and in a team
Fluency in English essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Sciences Engineering
Knowledge about compression mechanisms to reduce the amount of I/O data
Experience in the design and development of industrial parallel applications managing several levels of parallel computation and massive I/O transfers.
The position will be located at BSC within CASE department in collaboration. The contract will be temporary related with the project duration.
